Tested the box with Mercedes, BMW, and Ford key fobs and with the lid shut, could not operate doors. Bought two of these, one for our primary keys and one for our 2nd set for storage.Box itself is of okay quality. Did not like the hinge as it is only a piece of leather. I would probably apply leather protectant to prevent the hinge area from wearing/cracking/drying out to prolong use of the box. Not really a show piece but doesn't look too out of place on a console table. Also closing the box is a tight fit on the lid edge to get it past the inner lip.I would definitely recommend this box as it does what it advertises, prevent your key fob signal from being read.I would recommend get the one with 1 clasp. I always have multiple things on my hands and its hard to open it on my way out with the 2 clasp. It does block the signal. My two sets of car keys fits.Faraday box arrived quickly and in great shape. Our neighborhood and surrounding areas have had a rash of car break-ins and garage thefts. I decided to invest in a Faraday box to protect my vehicle fobs, garaged door remotes, and similar devices in an attempt to see if they actually work. Only time will tell, I suppose, but I feel more secure using the box to secure my devices, especially at night when everyone is sleeping. This appears to be the pattern for most of the intrusions-late night or early morning hours.The box seems to work from my front entry for both sets of car fobs. Lid can get a little sticky to open and close, possibly due to inside liner of the box.This is exactly what we were looking for. It is big enough for 2 sets of keys with fobs on them and the extra fobs that we have for our cars/remote starters. There is even room for some other stuff if we need to put it in. The box fits right on top of the stand-up wine rack. I'd highly recommend it.After a rash of car break ins in our neighborhood, we went ahead and purchased this. Tested it by putting the car keys inside and attempting to open the car (with the box held right next to the car). The door wouldn’t open. One note: the latches must actually be properly closed for the box to work at all.I bought this faraday box after my car was broken into and stolen twice. They were still able to get in a third and fourth time after re-keying my car. I believe these car thieves have a master panel they use to get into cars. I’d recommend as the signal cannot be reached on the fob when in box.Works great. I put the fob in the box and sealed it. With the box in my hand I tried to open the door and the car did not know that I had a key. Normally with the key in my pocket I could pull the handle of the car and the door would open.This product is advertised as not only blocking RFID and key fobs, but also for blocking mobile phone signals. I purchased it primarily as a place to store my mobile phone overnight. After performing several tests, and being very certain the box was closed as tightly as its design would allow, I can confirm that it does not in any way block mobile phone signals.I do not have any key fobs so could not test it for that purpose, however, as the claim that it blocks mobile phone signals is inaccurate, I would tend to have my doubts about the veracity of any of the claims regarding this little box. It really is too bad it didn't work as it would otherwise be a convenient way to keep these items tidy and handy (although be advised it is quite small and would fit approximately 1 phone and 2 key fobs, or 4 key fobs sans phone )Just had this delivered and decided to try it out - put in the car keys and stood next to the car and tried to open the door - nothing at all! This is exactly what I wanted and it works perfectly.Design and finish is excellent and looks really smart sitting on the corner of my desk and has enough room to hold all of the car keys for the family with lots of room to spare. Very pleased with this item and would happily recommend this.I read reviews of different makes of the boxes, I compared sizes. I wasn’t sure what to do as some reviewers said they tested them and they didn’t work and others said they were tricky to open or too small for their keys. I decided to order and take a chance. Delighted to say that it’s roomy enough for our 4 keys plus roomy enough for at least another four! First thing I did was put the keys in the box and try to get into the cars....worked perfectly! Next, I sat in each car and put the keys back in the box and pressed the start button......warning light on dashboard “No key detected”. I also opened and closed the lid easily.This product definitely works and I’d highly recommend it.My daughter’s car got stolen when keys were in the drawer so she bought this. I also bought on her recommendation and very happy with it. Price is reasonable too.I purcahsed this box as an alternative to the pouches becaue i have a big bunch of keys and they didnt fit in the pouches. I have used this product for over a month and to my knowledge it does what it says it does. It is well made and sturdy. I recommend this to anyone who is worried about car theft and protecting what is rightfully theirs.
